Baby to Be

So, I feel kind of bad that I haven't really posted much on the baby I'm growing. I'm not sure what to write other than:

* She kicks NON-STOP. And I absolutely love it.
* I'm carrying MUCH differently this time. As in, I'm not as fat as I was when I was pregnant with Devin. I actually don't mind how I look.
* My c-section is scheduled for January 23rd at 9:30AM
* We haven't decided on a name, but I have. I really want to name her Brynne or Brynn or Bryn. I'm still unsure of the spelling, but, I'm sure of the name. Oh, and her middle name will be Eleanor, which was Mike's grandmother's name.
* At my appointments, everything is checking out fine. My blood pressure is low, my glucose was fine, I'm still working out. In a word, perfect.

So, in a nutshell, that's pretty much it. I'm 32 weeks tomorrow and all is well. And I couldn't be happier!

Panic Mode

I had a rude awakening the other day of what it would be like when the baby got here. I was babysitting my friend's 6 month old son while she was at work and you'd think I was never around a baby before! It's only been nine months since Devin was 6 months old! I did OK, don't get me wrong, but it wasn't with that ease and confidence of when Devin was his age. For one, the whole bottle feeding thing? Yeah, I don't miss that at all. Especially since he couldn't hold it himself. Wow, it's amazing how much you take for granted! My mind brought me 6 months in the future when I'd be getting two kids ready and out the door by 7am. How will I do this? When you're used to just plopping the kid down with a banana, his sippy cup and letting him feed himself how do you go back to making the formula, or pumping, and holding the bottle, burping, getting up at all hours of the night for feedings and diaper changes!??!

Wow, reality is definitely starting to hit me. There's going to be a tiny baby here in 3 months. I think I need to start getting ready.

It's a....

Baby. Apparently that's all this baby wanted to show us. I wanted to find out the gender and Mike didn't, so at our ultrasound today, I asked the doctor if she could write down the gender and put it in an envelope. After a good 45 minutes of the very detailed ultrasound, the doctor couldn't tell if it was a boy or girl because the baby kept its legs closed tight! Can you believe it? Well, it must be a sign that I'm not meant to know. I guess I won't be spending any money on baby clothes until after the baby's born!
